Refund policy
This policy applies to purchases made from The Independent Landlord.
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
Paperback books
You can return a paperback within 30 days of receiving it, provided it is in new, unmarked condition. To request a return, please email me at shop@theindependentlandlord.com with your order number, and I will give you the address to return the book to.
Return postage is at the buyer's expense. I recommend using a tracked service, as I cannot be responsible for items lost in return transit.
Once I receive the book and confirm it is in new condition, I will process your refund to the original payment method within 14 days.
Ebooks
Because ebooks are digital content, your right to cancel is lost once the file has been downloaded or opened. If you have purchased an ebook but have not yet downloaded or opened it, you can request a full refund within 14 days of purchase by emailing shop@theindependentlandlord.com with your order number.
Faulty or damaged items
If your order arrives damaged or faulty, please email shop@theindependentlandlord.com with your order number and a photo of the damage. I will arrange a replacement or full refund, including any return postage costs.
How refunds are processed
Refunds are issued to the original payment method. Please allow up to 14 days from the date I approve the refund for it to appear in your account (though it is usually much quicker than this).
